Forest Hill
Forest Hill, with its mature tree lined streets, boutique 'Village' shops, and graceful topography, is one of Toronto's most chic neighbourhoods.
Local building codes, dating back to the 1920's, require that each home, as with the one featured in this design, have at least one tree planted at the front of the property.
Originally incorporated as a village in 1923, Forest Hill, takes its name from the summer home of John Wickson.
Previously the area was known as Spadina Heights, derived from the Ojibwe word 'ishapadenah', meaning a hill or sudden rise in land.
Architectural styles in this locale cover a wide range including; French Colonial, English country manor, Tudor, Georgian, as well as modern condominiums.
