Cressy
Cressy, a charming hamlet located in the north eastern tip of PEC, is well known by sailors for the many regattas it hosts during the summer. It is of course home to many working farms.
Prinyers Cove, featured in this design, once frequented by Prohibition rumrunners, is now a mecca for pleasure sailing.
First Nations, including the Wendat (Huron), Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), and Mississauga, dating back over 8,000 years, inhabited the area. There were once over 500 first nations villages in PEC, and a population possibly larger than the current one.
Samuel de Champlain came through the area in 1615.
